You may have noticed a bit of radio silence here the past while. I've been incredibly busy finishing up my first book, working on new patterns, teaching and lecturing, and some other fun things that I've got up my sleeves. I've also started a new site, HeatherJonesStudio.com, named after my brand of quilting patterns. It's still a work in progress, but I wanted to share it with you.
After much thought and deliberation, I've decided to blog at the new site as well. This blog has served me incredibly well, and I've had it active for at least seven years, but when I started it, it's goal was to serve my line of hand made baby and children's accessories, which I called Olive & Ollie, named respectively after my great-grandmother and my great-great-aunt. But, over the years, my work and mission have changed, and I thought it would be best to have a more cohesive site that encompasses all that I am doing today and what I will continue to do in the future.
To celebrate the move and the new site, I'm offering all of my PDF patterns for $8 a piece. You can find them in my shop. Plus, I'm teaching a local workshop next month, and you can find details about that in my shop as well.
Thank you so much for joining me at my new site!

Happy New Year, a bit late! I'm so excited to kick off this year by sharing that I'll be teaching at a very special retreat hosted by A Gathering of Stitches later this summer. The event will be held in Point Lookout in Northport, Maine and I'll be teaching with my dear friend and sister-in-craft Amy Butler. Amy will be leading her incredible color story class and I'll follow up with a quilting class where you can put that new found color to work!

The retreat takes place Thursday-Sunday, July 9-12, 2015. It's all inclusive, so your meals, lodging, and instruction fees are all included. It's going to be amazing! I've never been to Maine before, and Samantha of A Gathering of Stitches tells me that it's absolutely incredible in the summer. I hope you can join us! Our weekend is going to be an intimate gathering with spots only available for fourteen participants, so don't wait to sign up if you'd like to take part. For more information and to register for the retreat, please visit A Quilter's Color Weekend here.
