my QuiltCon schedule

I cannot believe that it's less than a week until QuiltCon, the first conference of the Modern Quilt Guild. I am beyond honored, and quite frankly a little nervous, to be presenting both a demo and a lecture there. I thought I'd share my schedule with you in case you'd like to stop by either of my gigs!

My demo is sponsored by my friends at Creativebug and I'll be teaching about Strip Piecing in Modern Quilts. I'll share some techniques from making blocks to finished quilts and show some innovative ways that you can incorporate them into your own quilt designs. It takes place on Thursday, February 21 from 1:30-2:00 CT.

My lecture, Everyday Inspiration in Modern Quilts, takes place Thursday, February 21 from 4:00-4:50 CT. I'm just finishing up everything for it right now, and although I am a bit nervous, I'm really excited about it, too. It will be a really great experience to talk about my work, and how I often find inspiration for my designs in non-traditional places and things. Here's a peek at one of the images I'll be sharing.

This is my Silo quilt in front of some metal silos down the street from my house during the local Creativebug shoot we did a few weeks ago. That I still need to tell you about. One of these days I'll be caught up with everything, right?

If you're going to be in Austin, I'm looking forward to meeting you! I'll also be in Anna Maria Horner's workshop on Friday and Denyse Schmidt's workshop on Sunday, both of which I am so looking forward to. It will be fun to make things for fun for a change!

If you can't make it to Austin, I've got some good news for you! My lecture will available to watch on Craftsy for free! I'll let you know more about when it's available, although I've heard that they are set to go live on the day they are given. So if you're interested, you may want to check it out late Thursday or Friday.
