I'm so excited to share with you that I've got a new project for you in the next issue of Modern Patchwork, and it's on the cover, to boot! My Around in Circles pillow cover is an easy project that has a really clean and modern feeling. While it is very modern in style, it was actually inspired by the woodwork in my 100 year old house.
Around in Circles is an easy project that features machine applique and four different fabrics. As you can see, I choose a creamy white, a stoney taupe, lime green, and pale blue for my version, but I think it would look great in a lot of different color combinations. I love that it was placed next to my friend Debbie Grifka's quilt, Maynard Plaza. I think they look great together!
I'm currently in Boulder getting ready to teach at the Makerie Sewing Retreat, but I'll be hosting a giveaway of a copy of Modern Patchwork when I return home next week. But, if you'd like to pre-order your own copy, you can from the Interweave store here. This issue of Modern Patchwork hits the stores later this month.
