Typeface

Have you seen the amazing fabric by Julia Rothman called Type? It's so much fun! I really love Julia's illustrations, so it was quite an honor to me when the folks at Windham asked me to design a quilt for the line a few months ago.  I came up with a simple pattern that really allows the fabric to shine. I called it Typeface, and it's available as a free download on the Windham site here

And you can also find kits for the quilt top at Robin's Nest fabrics. If you'd like one, I'd hurry, because this fabric is flying off the shelves!

I love the typewriters. My Dad was a typewriter repair man for all types old fashion and electronic, and could type faster than anyone I have ever seen. The cleaning chemicals and cigaretts got him. I love anything with typewriters or keys.

I love the line. I finally located them at a shop in New York called Ivy Thimble Quilt Shop. Amazing service too. I placed the order and it arrived in two days...coast to coast!
