Angela Walters is my quilter

You all know how much I love Angela Walters of Quilting is My Therapy. She is simply the most phenomenal long arm machine quilter. I remember first seeing her work at Fall 2010 Quilt Market and I was blown away. There was nothing else like it there (and there were hundreds, if not thousands of quilts on display) and it was honestly the most amazingly beautiful work that I had seen. And when I met Angela at that market, she was just as sweet and as kind as can be, and we instantly became friends.

Since then, I've had the privilege of having her quilt two quilts for me, plus one of my quilt designs is in her new book, Free Motion Quilting with Angela Walters. Each time I've sent her the front and back of the quilt and let her have free reign, in terms of design for the quilting. And she has knocked my socks off every time!

She quilted the quilt for my new pattern Ohio Supernova, above, which is a giant Ohio Star block that I've shared with you before. There's also a detail of that work in my header above where you can see a closer look at some of Angela's stitching. Amazing, right?

And here's a sneak peek of a brand new quilt that she just finished for me. I can't show you the rest, but you'll be able to see the whole thing, complete with the pattern and instructions to make your very own version, on a newsstand and bookstore soon.

Ah, all of those tiny pebbles kill me!

Angela and I are working on a few more projects together and I can't wait to share those with you as well. For more information on Angela and to see more of her incredible work, please visit her blog Quilting Is My Therapy and her new site Free Motion Quilting with Angela Walters, and be sure to pick up her book when it hits the stands this spring.
