we're getting closer!

To the release of my first line of quilt patterns! I'm so darn excited, and it's really pretty thrilling to watch this become a reality. From my first sketches in my notebook, to making the quilt, writing and testing the pattern, having photo shoots, and then finally laying out the design of the pattern, it certainly is a lot of work. But it's so worth it!

I have to thank my husband, Jeff, who has been acting as my pro bono graphic designer. I owe him big time, and I really couldn't do any of this without him. We've been working hard to get these finished up, and I just couldn't wait to share the covers of two of them that we've finished. There still may be a few tweaks here and there, but this is pretty much what they'll look like. I kind of love them, and I hope you do too!

I'm a guest on Sew4Home today!

Today I'm sharing some of my tips on my favorite type of quilting, straight line, at Sew4Home. I created a tutorial for them to show how I like to finish my quilts and you can read the entire post here.

Sew4Home is one of my favorite sites. Liz and Anne, the two brilliant sisters behind the site, always provide great content, along with excellent instructions and beautiful photos to inspire their readers. I'm so honored that they would ask me back to their site! And be sure to check back there tomorrow (and every day!) because I'll be sharing another tutorial on how to make one of my favorite types of quilt blocks.

Thanks again, Liz and Anne!
