drawing

I've been doing a lot of drawing lately. A whole lot. More than I have done in years. I used to draw and paint all time time, especially in high school, and I loved it. But when I started college, I didn't have much time for it. And then I went to grad school and met Jeff, and I had even less time. Then I got a job, had children, etc., so to say that my drawing and painting were put on the back burner would be an understatement to say the least. I've done a few paintings since then, some of which I really should share with you all sometime, but they were few and far between.

But, a friend of mine and I are working on a project together that I'm so excited about. I can't say too much about it now, but you'll be hearing more about it soon. One thing I can say that it has made me spend a lot of time drawing again! And it's like the old adage about riding a bike; I don't think you can forget how to draw either. I have a feeling that I'll be doing a lot more of it these days, even after this project is finished.

Time to stock up on some more pencils and erasers.

rubbing an emery board on your eraser helps clean up those dirty spots.

I want to get my drawing skills back. I'm rusty. Very rusty!

My mom used to draw and sketch but I never poked it up. Or I did when I was a kid but never got any encouragement so didn't pursue it. Now I sure wish I had! I envy folks who draw and doodle because it leads to great work. Best of luck to you.
