Happy New Year! Welcome to my first post of 2012, and I'm glad to be back in the swing of things, sharing another one of my vintage quilts with you. This tumbling blocks quilt is another one from the group that my step-mother gave me.
The blocks are made up of tiny scraps of all different types of fabrics, including silk, velvet, and wool.
The blocks appear to be hand pieced, and as you can see, there are all sorts of colors and patterns of scraps in this quilt.
There are a few places where the quilt has a bit of damage, but overall it's in really good shape.
The quilt is backed with a paisley print, which looks like some type of woven fabric.
Thanks again for joining me for my first Vintage Quilt Monday post of 2012. I'm excited about the new year and I can't wait to share lots of inspiration, projects and tutorials, and more with you!
