this is the year that I...

Cut into all of this fabric that I have. I'm in the middle of cleaning out, decluttering, and rearranging my studio and I'm finding lots of things that I had forgotten about. I had been keeping a lot of things in plastic storage bins, but I'm taking them out and rearranging things and putting all of my fabric out where I can see it, and use it. First up is this big stack of Denyse Schmidt's County Fair.

And some Katie Jump Rope.

This is the year that I finally use my stack of Heather Ross's Far Far Away to make Olivia a princess quilt.

And I think I'll even cut into some of this rare stuff.

So while my studio currently looks pretty much like this....

I am making progress, slowly but surely.

This is the year I cut into my stash of Sugar Snap by Melissa Averinos.

My Tufted Tweets by Lauris Wisbrun.

My gorgeous stack of West Indies by Sis Boom. But only after another project that I'm working on for Jennifer--more to come on that one.

And my beautiful little bundle of solids by Art Gallery Fabrics

I'm also working on some scrap bundles that I'll have available for sale soon. I have so many scraps that I know there is no way I can use them all, so I'd like to offer some of them to you. In the  mean time, please wish me luck getting this studio put back together!

Good luck. Working on mine too!

I guess it really doesn't make sense to have all that fabric if you never make anything with them, right. It will be interesting to see what you create.

Thanks, all! I'm still in the process of trying to organize everything, especially my scraps. Right now I have most of the ones that I'm keeping in 12Q plastic bins, sorted by color. I'm going to put a basket on my cutting table and toss the scraps in there as I work. Once a week or so (or as needed), I'm going to arrange them by color and put them in the 12Q bins. Since those bins are a little tough to get to in my studio, I don't want to be pulling them out all the time, but once a week or so shouldn't be a problem. At least I hope not! I'll keep you posted on the progress!

You have some great fabrics and all would look great at my house!! I have the same goal this year, organize my "stuff" so I know what I have! I plan to make mini bundles that stand up straight with my fabric pieces and I will probably use acid free foamboard to wrap it on.

Thanks for letting us see the pretties!

You have a fabulous fabric stash and I'm green with envy! I jumped on the Heather Ross bandwagon far too late. Looking forward to seeing your creations this year!

Wow...that's a LOT of fabric, lady! Looks like fun. We are de-cluttering and getting organized at the Crafty Dad house too.

Best wishes for a wonderful new year!
