My trusty basic Janome, which has been used literally just about every day (and night) for the past four years, has been acting up a bit lately, so I thought it would be a good idea to buy another machine. So, I went with another Janome, an HD-1000, and it now joins old blue in my little studio.
I wanted another basic, meaning not computerized, machine and this one is great. I actually have a computerized machine, but I prefer basic models. I just think the stitch quality is better, and I never use any decorative stitches, so this was perfect for me.
Plus, for under $300, it was a great deal!
Here's my new machine. It's got a nice sized throat and a handy ruler along the bottom edge of the machine.
I used it to quilt my version of Fenced In, and have started piecing my next quilt on it. It sews like a dream!
