I was working in my sketchbook last night on some new designs, and I came across something I had written in it a few months ago. On the very first page of my sketchbook, I wrote the following:
Be a Star
I don't know who the author is. I even did some googling last night to see if I could find who the quote is attributed to, but no such luck. I happened to come across the quote in (of all places) one of those airline catalogs while I was on my way to NYC for the Quilters Take Manhattan event back in August. It was on some sort of plaque as I recall, and as soon as I read it, I grabbed my brand-new-at-the-time sketchbook and scribbled all of it down. Jeff thought I was crazy, but I'm glad I did it.
I've looked at those words a few times since then, but when I saw them again last night, they just struck me for some reason.
They are definitely, for me, words to live by.
