the newest addition to the Jones family

Is this little guy.

We needed a kitten like we need a hole in the head, but I couldn't resist when I saw this face at Petsmart over the weekend. He's about three and a half months old and was a rescue kitten that came from an abusive home. When the people from Purrfect Friends told us his story, it broke my heart, and Jeff and I decided to take him home. The kids were at my dad's house and they had no idea, so imagine their surprise when we came to pick them up with a kitten in tow!

He has settled in amazingly well, like he's belonged here all along. He loves the kids, purrs all the time, and even has found a new playmate in our dog, Rosemary.

And the kids are pretty darn smitten with little Spencer.

We don't go to petsmart anymore because we have three kittens, which is enough kittens for one household, but I get so sad and heartbroken and beg for another one when I see the rescue kitties (all ours were rescues too, from the human society). He is ADORABLE! Congrats on the new baby.

I love kitties. You made my heart happy today and probably saved Spencer's life!

The cutest thing!!!!
You've done a great thing by adopting him. He will be grateful for life. I also adopted a little abandoned kitten 4 months ago, and Pinky is the most cuddly and generous kitty cat in her love for me. Sometimes I really think that she knows that I've rescued her.
It's a warm feeling in my heart.
Congratulations.

So cute! I did the same thing about a month ago, taking in a malnourished and abandoned three week old kitten. When my husband took him to the vet, he came home with two kittens. He said our baby needed a friend his own age. Now I have three cats, which I never imagined, I love them all so much!
