{ yield }

I have to start off by saying that I am so excited about this quilt. From it's inception, which started off as a burst of inspiration after seeing a grid in a Walmart parking lot, to the work in progress, to the photo shoot yesterday, I've been thinking about this project almost daily for a couple of months now.

Measuring roughly 62 inches by 67 inches, it's the largest quilt I've made, the first quit I've made entirely out of solid fabrics, and I'm planning on it being the first actual pattern that I produce. It's also my entry for Project Modern: Challenge 1.

The {yield} quilt is made of Moda Bella solids, in Weathered Teak, Robin's Egg Blue, Orange, and Pistachio. The back is pieced with those fabrics as well as Kona Cotton in Ash by Robert Kaufman.

Thank you, Cherri for opening my eyes to quilting with solids. After this, it's going to be hard to go back to prints.
