{ wonky quilt blocks }

You might remember that one of my New Year's resolutions that I shared with you was to take more time sewing and crafting for myself and my family. I've been fortunate enough to do that lately, and I'm really getting into quilting. I've made some quilts in the past, but I feel much more confident in my technique and designs now than I did before, so it's been fun to play around with quilting again. I really love the look of wonky blocks, which remind me of those wonderful quilts from Gees Bend, but I never had made any myself. { Until today. } And I think I might be hooked. Here are some pictures of my first ever wonky quilt block.

There is no pattern to these blocks, but I used this tutorial. Don't you just want to go make a bunch of them?! Let me know if you do!

Hi! Thank you very much. I think it turned out really fun, and I can't wait to see what the finished quilt will look like. I'll definitely share pictures of it when it's done!

This quilt is so beautiful! I have just started my first quilt and have decided to do a wonky log cabin design as well. Thanks for the inspiration!
