{ Oh, Fransson! Paintbox quilt along }

One of my New Year's resolutions is to make time to sew for myself and my family more than I was able to last year. I've been wanting to make a quilt for a while, and luckily, I stumbled across Oh, Fransson's! wonderful site about a week ago, and saw that she is leading a quilt along, so I'm jumping in! Mine is going to be a scrappy version of her Paintbox quilt, because I've got tons of scraps that have been piling up for quite some time now.

So, this

with a little work,

OK, maybe a lot of work,

will turn into this. Here are my first two scrappy blocks.

I love them, and I think the final project will be really fun. Want to join me? Head on over to Oh, Fransson! for all the details. Let me know if you are making one, too. I'd love to see your blocks!

Love it! If only I could sew.

Love the resolution, I'm feeling the same!

I need a way to use up my scraps but I don't think the majority of mine would be big enough for this so phooey!

Thanks,Shelly. You should take a class!

Thanks, Emily! The scraps are pretty small for this, with the biggest piece being 1 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches, I think. I think it will be a challenge, but I'm going to try to just use things from my scrap bins for this. Good luck with your resolution, too!
