Dexter's Super Savvy Mommy's Super Awesome Giveaway

My friend Maggie has just started a really cool blog where she reviews all sorts of products for mommas and babies. Hmmm....maybe she'd review something of mine?!

Right now she's giving away a pair of super cute shoes by Jack and Lilly. All of their shoes are so adorable, and it was hard to pick a favorite, but I finally narrowed it down to the Love Birds. I hope Olivia and I win! Here's where you can check out all of their awesome shoes.

And, check out Maggie's blog too!

I'll let you know if we win! Fingers crossed! :)

A few more new boyish fabrics

Fabrics for boys are so hard to come by! I know how frustrating it can be, because I have such a hard time finding things for Aidan, which is one reason why I started doing all of this. But, I have found a few fun things recently. Here they are!

Long time, no blog

It's been a long time! I have literally been swamped, which is not a bad thing, but it's a little hectic when you have (until just recently) two babies under two. Now Aidan is 2 years old and Olivia is 7 months, so I can't say that anymore.

Anyway, I've been really busy with custom orders. I'm also trying to get some inventory and gear up for my first craft show. It's a small one at a local church next weekend, but it will be fun, and a learning experience if nothing else. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. :)

And Amy Butler, too

I opened up a wholesale account with Westminster Fibers, the carrier of Amy Butler's fabrics. The minimum order was five bolts, and I had such a hard time only picking five! I could have chosen a lot more, but my wallet couldn't handle that. I did get a new print in the mail today though! Here's what I have. :)

New fabrics!

Here are some of my newest fabrics. I am loving the sock monkeys!

Custom appliqued shirts and onesies

I love these shirts I made for Aidan and Olivia! The letters are 100% cotton fabric that I've appliqued and then machine stitched for added design and durability. They are completely machine washable, although I turn mine wrong side out to keep the fabrics bright.

Since they are all custom and made to order, they can say anything you want. I'm actually making some for twins that say "first out" and "last out" which I think it totally adorable! I'm also working on some other designs, and hope to have some finished this week!

Each shirt is $22 plus shipping. If you're interested in one, please email me at olive_and_ollie@yahoo.com

Some more new fabrics

Here are some more new fabrics I picked up over the weekend. It had been so long since I went to the fabric store that I went a little over board! There were so many great new prints for spring that I wanted, but I had to use some restraint and not break the bank. I'm planning on using some of these for a few rag quilts, especially the two butterfly fabrics and the striped one. Love them!

I'm also working on some new appliqued shirts and onesies. I made Olivia and Aidan coordinating little sister/ big brother shirts, and I'm also working on some monogrammed shirts, and some super fun animal appliques.

Coming soon!

I'm busy working on a lot of new projects. Cool ragged baby blankets, some with matching soft, stuffed animals; new and improved burp cloths (which I'm needing plenty of with this new little one...she's a spitter); embellished shirts and onesies; apron towels for keeping dry while giving little ones a bath; and of course more bibs with a few new designs.

If there were only more hours in the day to get everything done!

New fabrics...and back to work!

Here are some new fabrics that I have for bibs and burp clothes. I really love the green dotted fabric! These pictures aren't the best and I think the fabrics really look better in person. But, I'm having to work when I can because our family has grown. Olivia Mae was born Feb. 3, so now we have two kids under the age of two. Who would have thought?!? We couldn't be happier, though, and we're getting into the swing of things finally. ;)
